Times Of India

VTV Ganesh, Motta Rajendran and Mahat are adequate as Simbu’s aides in the film. Tamanaah oozes glamour in almost all the scene she appears and is a treat to watch. Yuvan Shankar Raja has once again provided peppy, fast-paced background score. But a confusing screenplay without proper connection between the past and present spoils the little fun the film offers.(read full review)

Yuvan’s background score is a big pillar for the movie and the STR- YSR combo has struck the chord once again, but one might feel that his music hasn’t deserved the right film. The screenplay isn’t engaging, even with STR on the frame. The treatment is also a bit used and a beaten one, and hence the freshness in the screenplay is missing. The confusing screenplay writing adds more to the worry. Will AAA2D, the sequel, make up for all this?(read full review)

AAA remains an unabashed star vehicle for not one, not two, but three Simbus who will hold screen space for the next 160 minutes. Unfortunately, it never goes anywhere else. Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja’s effort here is not a patch on his earlier exciting musical collaborations with Simbu.(read full review)

The best part of the film is Adhik’s writing. Be it dialogues, different characters or screenplay, the director has shown a good clarity in his work. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music has also worked in favour of the film. Adhik has delivered a film with Simbu that will be loved by ‘soup boys’, a slang for heartbroken boys, and will be enjoyed by the rest of the crowd.(read full review)

About half an hour into it, Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangathavan is partly funny and has decent mass moments, though inconsequential. Even the much-hyped Ashwin Thatha’s character just doesn’t work. At the end of the day, Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangathavan is no sirappu, but sirippu. And you thought AAA needed a second part, Mr Adhik?(read full review)

AAA is a B-grade crowd-pleaser that knows exactly who its audience is. For die-hard fans of STR it is a treat. By the way, the film ends with a dialogue from STR that a part-2 is on the cards! Go in with modest expectations and perhaps you won’t come out dissatisfied.(read full review)

The story has nothing new and most of the proceedings are unintentionally funny. The film ends without answering many questions raised in the first part. Probably they will be answered in the second part. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s songs are pleasant on the ears as well as eyes, thanks to good choreography and picturisation. Overall Watch ‘AAA’ Part-1, for STR’s performance, YSR’s music and Tamannah’s glamour.(read full review)

STR is in each and every frame with lots and lots of preachy punch dialogs.  Yuvan has tried his level best to have loud banging BGM and songs. AAA is a milestone on crass filmmaking and could possibly end up as a lesson for most new filmmakers on what not to do when they make a movie.  Family audience should stay away from this adult film. Overall Don’t watch it if you value your time and money…and your patience.(read full review)
